Product Review! - Color Elixir from Maybelline.

          Maybelline New York's Color Elixir is hands down my favorite Lip Product so far in 2014! I may lean toward maybelline everything because I love them so much, but this Lippie is seriously amazing. I think Maybelline blew it out of the water on this product and every time I go to the drugstore I find myself walking out with a new shade. Its addictive and I can't wait to get my hands on more!

         The first shade I purchased was the signature scarlet shade, 020. This is a bright, "scarlet" color and it is beautiful on the lips. The glossy finish and perfect texture makes your lips look flawless.

           I do find with all the shades that I own, that the color is slightly sheer, and it does give the a " wet lip" affect. I personally love this, but if you wanted a more opaque color, blank your lips out with concealer then apply and this does make the color appear more true. 


           The next shade i purchased was Mandarine Rapture in the shade 015. This color was defiantly out of my comfort zone, but still close to home. It is a beautiful orange, and honestly the first orange lip product I have ever owned. I tend to stay to pinks, nudes, and some reds. So I was surprised to find that i really love it, I am even wearing it now! 



          This shade I find to be very versatile because you can really control how bright the color is. A think layer will give you a very pretty sheer coral lip and a thicker layer will be a brighter bolder orange. I love this because depending on the day I want my lips to either be soft and natural or bold and out going!

          Last but not least, my personal favorite shade, caviar couture, in 050. Now this shade is EXTREMELY out of my comfort zone, and at first I was absolutely terrified of it. The mortal terror aside, I purchased it and then tried it on. Instant love. I was shocked and over joyed, and it just goes to show that stepping out side of your comfort zone can lead you to amazing places!!

          This beautiful deep purple shade will be my new statement makeup item for a long time to come! 

          Maybelline's color elixir is extraordinary! I am so glad I tried this product, and I will probably soon have all 20 shades!           Welcome to my new beauty blog! As one of my new years resolutions was to finally create a beauty blog, here it is! I'm a sassy, quirky, all around weird teenage girl with a passion for make-up, hair, fashion, and everything in between. I am by no imaginable means a beauty guru, just a girl that has messed around with this stuff enough that I've learned a few things, and I am still learning!

          

           Some of my favorite bloggers and you tubers consist of the lovely Sprinkleofglitter, Zoella, Tanya Burr, and so many others! I am completely inspired by them to improve my beauty skills and to make a beauty blog. I am obsessed with beauty gurus on You Tube and any type of beauty blog, because I absolutely love learning new fun tricks, and plus the are all so stunning! 

          On this blog, posts will consist mainly of beauty product reviews, some tutorials, DIY projects, and outfit of the day's. My goal is to post atleast once a week on Fridays or Saturdays. Eventually I will come up with a schedule, for example tutorial Tuesdays or sassy review Saturdays. All in good time!

          Blogging is a huge passion of mine so I am so excited to launch this blog, and start posting! I promise great things are to come, stay tuned!
